Details
The five mandalas of the album were drawn freehand by Mathilda Stillday (art name of Silvia Ancordi), in
deep meditation and based on precise inspirations.
Each mandala contains a message. The Sun Mandala was made to remember that we always have the opportunity to shine and we do so when we are able to show what we are in the way we feel is right for us. It has a low degree of difficulty precisely in order to introduce children to colouring with sand. The details are of medium size. Starting from the centre and colouring it outward helps regain energy to show what we are, without fear. Suggested colours are warm in the centre, like the sun, and gradually become dark like the night, a moment of rest and reflection. The Flower Mandala was created to highlight lights and shades that characterize the individual. We have the opportunity to experience and live the ups and downs and keep our balance as a flower with its own different shades. Suggested colours among those available highlight the ability to find harmony. Also in this case the difficulty is low because the drawings are of medium size. Rose window Mandala takes inspiration from the typical rose windows found in churches. It has six sections that create a star and the number suggests balance, harmony and invites you to look for beauty. The central red circle refers precisely to rooting oneself, or the ability to live in the present,in the famous here and now, and to focus only on what is being done without distractions, thoughts or anxieties. In this mandala you will find drawings of various sizes so it is considered of medium difficulty. The Button Mandalas has a central flower with eight petals and it is based on the contrast of complementary colours with the purpose of showing that harmony is possible even where everything seems to be different and irreconcilable. It refers to the eight of numerology, concrete, material, physical. The shape is made of a combination of differently sized parts and ends with a circle of buttons, which are the smaller parts that make it of medium-high difficulty. The Mandala Tulipani is inspired by the relativity of perception. The external part consists of crab claws ready to pinch, or are they decorative tulips? Everyone has the opportunity to see what one feels, or to see the moment one is living. Always in order to highlight the contrasts, one black and white background was included as well as leaf green or sea blue. It is a very regular and repetitive mandala, but the drawings have a particular structure and cut so that its difficulty is considered high.
